The Parrot Heads of Puget Sound is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit public charitable organization.
DONATIONS TAXES AND DUES
Donations to the Parrot Heads of Puget Sound may be deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. Please consult with your tax professional. The club will provide you with a tax receipt upon request.
Donations to the club are not considered club membership dues.
Membership dues paid to the Parrot Heads of Puget Sound are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership dues are $20 per person, per year. “Keets” (children under the age of 18) are included with their parent(s) membership.
PARROT HEADS IN PARADISE
Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHIP) is the official parent organization of all parrot head clubs worldwide.
PARROT HEADS OF PUGET SOUND
The Parrot Heads of Puget Sound (PHoPS) is an officially sanctioned parrot head club chapter of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHIP).
NAME USAGE
The use of the names “Parrot Heads of Puget Sound,” “PHoPS,” or “Webfoot Children in the Rain” is reserved for our local club use only, and given for limited usage only by permission.
Parrot Head Clubs are recognized by Jimmy Buffett and his business interests, but are not directly associated with MCA Records, Island Records, Margaritaville Records, Margaritaville Holdings, Mailboat Records, or HK Management, Et al. The terms Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville, Parrot Head(s), Parrothead(s) Parrot Head Club, Parrothead Club, PHC as well as all of Mr. Buffett’s song titles and lyrics are all copyrighted and/or registered trademarks of Jimmy Buffett and/or Margaritaville, Inc. Their limited use has been graciously granted only to active, sanctioned Parrot Head Clubs, however, they may not be used for the pursuit of any profit.
Membership in this or any parrot head club does not give license to use Jimmy Buffett’s name, song titles, lyrics, names of businesses, or other trademarked, copyrighted, or reserved material owned by Jimmy Buffett’s estate.
ANTI-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENT
The Parrot Heads of Puget Sound (PHoPS) are proud to Party with a Purpose! We do not and shall not discriminate on any basis, including, but not limited to race, color, ethnicity, shape, size, sexual orientation or identity, religion (creed), national origin (ancestry), gender, gender expression, age, physical or mental disability, marital status, branch of military service or status, hair or eye color, etc. in any of its activities or operations. We don’t discriminate against pirates, mermaids or non-parrot heads either!
BEHAVIOR
Each member of the Parrot Heads of Puget Sound is responsible for their own, their children’s, and their guests actions and behaviors, positive or negative. Membership can be revoked at any time.
HOLD HARMLESS
Members agree to hold harmless the club, its Board of Directors, other members, appointees and volunteers. The club, our officers, members, appointees, and volunteers are not liable for any injury, loss or damage to persons or personal property.
PRIVACY
Any personal information we collect during the membership process is not sold or shared by us with any outside entity or third party. The membership information for our club will be sent to our parent organization, and may be used for club purposes such as communications, announcements, emails, newsletters, membership rosters, websites, etc. Any personal information gathered from website interactions, registrations for events, or other activities, will only be used for club purposes.
